Shipping And Delivering

We do shipping, docking, receiving, unloading, and loading for shipping and loading facilities.

Disposal

Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Refuel trucks and add other necessary fluids, such as oil.
  • Fill out any needed reports for defective equipment.
  • Drive to disposal sites to empty trucks that have been filled.
  • Drive trucks along established routes through residential streets and alleys, or through business and industrial areas.
  • Operate equipment that compresses the collected refuse.
  • Operate automated or semi-automated hoisting devices that raise refuse bins and dump contents into openings in truck bodies.
  • Dismount garbage trucks to collect garbage and remount trucks to ride to the next collection point.
  • Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, and other maintenance problems.
  • Keep informed of road and weather conditions to determine how routes will be affected.

Security

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches
  • Utilize the company’s guest policies to issue guest passes and make sure that each guest is accompanied by an employee before entering the facility
  • Assist the maintenance staff in securing an area during a maintenance emergency
    Collaborate with other members of the corporate security team to ensure that the facility is safe at all times
  • Maintain a professional and effective relationship with the local police and fire departments
  • Protect property and lives by patrolling the area.
  • Monitor entrance of property through surveillance.
  • Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documents.
  • Guard against theft and maintain security.
  • Respond to alarms and calls of distress.
  • Stop suspicious people and ask for identification.
  • Investigate thefts and file police reports.
  • Call for aid if necessary.
  • Use walkie-talkies, pagers, and cell phones to stay in contact with security personnel.
  • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.
  • Report rule infractions and violations.
  • Issue tickets and citations.
  • Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
  • Prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Check purses, pockets, and bags for suspicious items.
  • Remove weapons and stow away for later retrieval.
  • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
  • Regulate and monitor building systems.
  • Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working

Warehouse

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Complete deliveries by driving trucks or vans to and from vendors.
  • Maintain a truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs.
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Complete reports by entering required information.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Construction

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools.
  • Load and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Remove debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.
  • Assemble and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding.
  • Assist contractors, e.g. electricians and painters, as required.
  • Assist with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Regulate traffic and erecting traffic signs.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Dig holes, tunnels, and shafts.
  • Mix, pouring, and leveling concrete.
